Gunther will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against WWE legend Randy Orton at Bash in Berlin. Meanwhile, a former WWE host wants to see The Ring General go head-to-head against another legend next year.
The superstar in question is none other than John Cena. The Leader of the Cenation announced that he would retire from in-ring competition by December 2025. However, he would have one final run next year, where he would compete at Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, WrestleMania, and several other shows. While several rising stars have expressed their desire to share the ring with the 16-time world champion, former The Bump host Matt Camp suggested that Cena fight Gunther before he retires.
Speaking on his The Wrestling Matt podcast, Camp claimed a match between The Ring General and the 16-time world champion would be "huge":
"I do wanna see a John Cena [vs.] Gunther match. I think that's a big da*n match. I think that could be a huge match," he said. [21:54 - 22:02]

Matt Camp also wants John Cena to face the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes
During the same episode of The Wrestling Matt, former WWE host Matt Camp discussed other potential opponents for John Cena on his retirement tour, including Cody Rhodes.
Cena and Rhodes squared off a few times in one-on-one matches during the latter's first stint in the Stamford-based company. They all ended in the 16-time world champion's victory. Camp now believes the two must share the ring again after The American Nightmare became arguably the face of WWE:
"They gotta do Cena/Cody, right? Like, you gotta do that just for the box office appeal. Like, that's gotta be one of them where either John or Cody just say, 'Hey, I need to know. I need to know. I gotta know if I can beat you.' Does Cody put him out? You know, he's the last challenge, Cody Rhodes. I don't think you go back to Roman, but there is, 'I gotta know. I gotta know if I can do it.' Because Cody Rhodes is the closest thing to John Cena the company's had," he said.
While John Cena's retirement tour would probably start in January, it would be interesting to see which superstars he would share the ring with before hanging up his boots.
