Vince Russo recently appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored to discuss Netflix's Mr. McMahon docuseries. The former WWE writer got involved in a heated argument during the episode, which caused him to "feel bad" for the show's producers.
Russo was a guest alongside former WWE wrestler Maven and ex-WWE personalities Charly Arnolt (fka Charly Caruso) and Jonathan Coachman. New York Post columnist Phil Mushnick, known for his strong criticisms of McMahon and WWE, unexpectedly joined the panel midway through the show.
Russo blasted Mushnick for writing a negative article about McMahon's 1992 steroid symposium even though he did not attend the event. On Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, the one-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion reiterated his claim that Mushnick lied more than 30 years ago:
"The show was supposed to be about the Netflix documentary," Russo said. "Why are we talking about 35 years ago? That's not what the show was supposed to be about. Bro, he reported on something he never went to and made stuff up about it. That's a fact. I was there. I recorded it. I just feel bad for the producers at Piers Morgan because that's not what the show was supposed to be about." [2:05 – 2:46]

Vince Russo reveals what Piers Morgan's producer told him
Phil Mushnick referred to Vince McMahon as a "sicko" and likened the former WWE Chairman to fictional serial killer Hannibal Lecter. He also fired back at Vince Russo multiple times and told the veteran wrestling writer not to call him "bro."
Russo added that a Piers Morgan Uncensored producer compared the show to WWE before the recording began:
"You know what the producer Greg told me before the show? You guys will appreciate this. His exact words, 'We like to think of ourselves as the WWE of talk shows.'" [6:22 – 6:34]
Russo wrote television for WWE in the late 1990s when RAW regularly drew its highest ratings. He later worked as a creative team member and on-screen character in WCW and TNA.
