The Bloodline Saga officially commenced on WWE SmackDown at the dawn of a new decade four years ago. The group consists largely of the Anoa'i family, who have been in the business for nearly half a century.

Presently, they dominate The Island of Relevancy on Friday nights. However, former MLW and Pro Wrestling Noah star Lance Anoa'i has signed with WWE's developmental brand. The Tuesday show has a crop of talented individuals, with NXT Champion Trick Williams leading the pack.

In an interview with Steve Fall on Ten Count Media, Trick Williams was asked to comment on Lance Anoa'i now stomping the grounds of his home turf. He noted that with The Bloodline, the story never ends. Be that as it may, he called Lance an interesting wrestler and wished him the best:

"Man, it never ends," Williams burst out laughing. "No, for real, Lance is cool. I've known him for a little while now, too. But shoutout to them. They deserve it. Their family, their Bloodline, literally has been putting in work for a long time," he said.

The NXT Champion further revealed that he trained with WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi at KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy and spent some time talking and getting to know the legend. He feels there is a possibility that the Anoa'i family did not get the recognition they deserved back in the day.

"Crazy enough, I trained at KnokX Pro in California with Rikishi and Black Pearl before I got my second tryout. I acutally talked to Rikishi a good bit about things they went through, things they did, a long time ago. Maybe they didn't get all the recognition they deserved. Who knows? I wasn't there. All I'm saying is, it's cool to see all the hardwork they did," he added. [From 0:39 onwards]

It remains to be seen when and if Lance Anoa'i ultimately joins The Bloodline on SmackDown. Moreover, with the group divided in two at the moment, which side lasts in the future bears watching.

Lance Anoa'i was supposed to join The Bloodline on WWE TV a year ago

In January 2023, WWE did a "Tribal Court" segment on RAW is XXX which was set to feature many Anoa'i family members when The Bloodline put honorary member Sami Zayn on trial, according to Lance Anoa'i himself.

During an interview with Steve Fall, Lance disclosed that WWE wanted him and Jacob Fatu to be a part of it, too. However, their contract with MLW at the time made it impossible for them to make an appearance, even if it was a one-off. Fatu later joined The Bloodline in June 2024.

"So, the Tribal Court, they wanted a lot of us. They asked my grandfather, my dad, my uncles, me, Jacob [Fatu], they wanted us all. Unfortunately due to our contracts and everything, we weren't able to. But that's okay, we weren't able to, and we just carried on," he said.

In the summer of 2023, WWE once again held a Tribal Court segment featuring The Bloodline. However, this time on SmackDown, where Jey Uso challenged Roman Reigns for his title at SummerSlam later that year.
