The Miz recently received a great tribute from the Stamford-based promotion as he was chosen as one of the superstars to be featured in the WWE Legends docu-series. While The A-Lister is receiving a lot of praise for being featured in the show, he recently revealed why he likes being a WWE Superstar.
The Miz made an appearance on the SHAK Wrestling podcast hosted by Shakiel Mahjouri after the release of his docu-series episode. Starting the interview, Mahjouri noted that one of the fans sent a message to Miz. The fan reminded the two-time WWE Champ that he had once said that the city of Winnipeg was terrible, and as a grown-up, he agreed. Laughing at this, The A-Lister noted that this was why he loved wrestling for WWE.
“I love it, I don't think you understand how many times I've told a city that they're horrible and that they're terrible and that they s**k. So, I'm glad that this kid has that memory and that's what you know, that's people always ask: 'Why do you like being a WWE Superstar?' And that right there is the reason. People take home memories that will last a lifetime like that kid still remembers that moment. And when that was what, 15 years ago? And that kid still remembers that and that's what it's all about. Like creating those moments.” [From 01:35 to 02:07]

Interestingly, while the 43-year-old has given fans many such memories, he had a hard time believing he was a WWE legend.
R-Truth convinces The Miz that he isn’t dreaming
In the same interview, The Miz also noted that when the production team had initially approached him for a documentary, he didn’t know the show’s title. However, when a trailer of the docu-series was shown to WWE RAW fans, Miz couldn’t believe that he had become a legend and confirmed if it was true with R-Truth.
"I went I went to Truth and I went, ‘I'm a legend?’ And he goes, ‘yeah dog you're a legend.’ I never considered myself a legend.” [From 03:54 to 04:00]
With this, The A-Lister is now one of the rare superstars who can call themselves a legend while having an active career. It would be interesting to see what other accolades The Miz adds to his Hall of Fame-worthy career.
