Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently spoke about an atrocious backstage segment on SmackDown. He was referring to Chelsea Green and Piper Niven making fun of B-Fab after her match.
B-Fab came up short in the WWE Women's United States Title Tournament Triple Threat Match. After the encounter, she saw Green and Niven taunting her for the loss. She remarked that Chelsea still had the stench from her Garbage Match a few weeks ago. Michin then also showed up with a Kendo Stick, forcing Chelsea and Piper to leave.
This week on BroDown with Mac Davis, Russo detailed that the segment was terrible. He felt the producer should be let go for such shoddy work. The former writer revealed that repetition was the key to success in backstage segments, and he would often encourage WWE stars to do the segment several times back when he was producing them.
"If these are pre-taped and they're letting backstage segments like this get on the air, the producer needs to be fired. I mean, I would stand there, I produced every backstage thing. I would stand there, 'nope you could do better, again. Nope again, you could do better, again.' The more times they do it, the better it is. The more reps they have, the better it is. So if these are pre-taped and they're allowing this to air, they need to fire the producer of these pre-tapes." [From 22:20 - 22:55]

Earlier in the night on WWE SmackDown, B-Fab was in a Triple Threat Match against Bayley and Candice LeRae to advance in the Women's United States Championship Tournament. Bayley won the encounter and moved to the second round.
It will be interesting to see how other stars such as Chelsea Green and Piper Niver fare in the tournament.
