The Rock made his presence felt on WWE RAW's debut episode on Netflix with an opening segment, where he acknowledged Roman Reigns as The Tribal Chief. The Final Boss also had a backstage moment with Rhea Ripley before her title match against Liv Morgan.
There was plenty of speculation about Rocky's availability for the red show's Netflix premiere, as well as the buildup for WrestleMania 41. The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment appeared early in the show, delivered a message to the executives of all companies involved, and pumped the crowd ahead of the Tribal Combat.
After Reigns beat Solo Sikoa, The Rock came out and congratulated The Tribal Chief. Many were expecting him to attack his cousin, but it was a happy ending, possibly a sign that he won't be available moving forward.
Rocky also uploaded a video on Instagram after the moment with Reigns, going backstage to give people hugs and greetings. Plenty of stars, legends and producers were there, including Rhea Ripley, who got a warm hug from the eight-time WWE Champion.
The Rock wished Rhea Ripley luck ahead of her match against Liv Morgan. Ripley overcame "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio and Raquel Rodriguez to beat Morgan to become the new Women's World Champion.
CM Punk opens up on possibly facing The Rock or John Cena at WrestleMania 41
In the main event of RAW's premiere on Netflix, CM Punk bested Seth Rollins to put an end to their rivalry for now. Punk is looking forward to WrestleMania 41, setting his sights on one of the main events, as well as Gunther and Cody Rhodes' championships.
At the post-show press conference, The Second City Saint was asked whether he was interested in facing The Rock or John Cena in Las Vegas.
"I think I want gold around my waist, but those two names come with big fat paychecks, so I’m not gonna say no to it. It could be interesting. I wouldn’t say no to it, I’m into the big, high pressure money situations. I think that’s when I come alive. I definitely owe The Rock, I definitely owe John. I would welcome both of them with open arms," Punk said. [H/T: 411 Mania]
Punk's last match against The Final Boss was at Elimination Chamber 2013, where he failed to reclaim the WWE Championship. His last televised one-on-one match with John Cena was on the February 25, 2013, episode of RAW for a shot at the WWE Title at WrestleMania 29.
