The Rock may or may not have confirmed that he won't be facing his heavily rumored WrestleMania 41 opponent. He did this on the RAW on Netflix premiere when he hugged and embraced his former rival, Cody Rhodes, which is a stark departure from his attitude last year.
The Rock opened the RAW on Netflix premiere after Triple H's grand introduction, and he wasn't in his usual Final Boss character - although he certainly dressed the part. Instead, he seemed keener on playing into his new nickname - High Chief Seiuli.
Either way, he gave a shoutout to his biggest rival from 2024 and the man he was rumored to face at WrestleMania 41, Cody Rhodes. It was heavily teased from the night after WrestleMania 40, but this could very well confirm that it won't happen. He described The American Nightmare as the man who has carried WWE on his back for a year.
The Brahma Bull also told Cody to say hi to "Mama Rhodes," who was a subject of his heel character's promos during the build-up to WrestleMania 41. After his promo ended, he went right up to the Undisputed WWE Champion and hugged him.
This may put an end to any rumors of the Rock vs. Cody match and could possibly fuel rumors that Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena is the marquee match at this year's Show of Shows.
Triple H himself admitted that the WrestleMania plans, which he had in place "loosely" by October, might change. He also admitted to having a plan B and a plan C.
