John Cena recently shocked the WWE Universe by announcing his plans to hang up his boots at the end of 2025. According to a veteran, there is a good chance that The Rock and John Cena will fight it out in the latter's retirement tour.
The Brahma Bull and The Cenation Leader have had one of the most iconic rivalries in the company's history. As such, many would be excited to see the two stars feud again, considering that The Rock is yet to retire. When asked about the topic, former WWE head writer Vince Russo explained why he thought it was still a viable option.
While speaking on Sportskeeda's Writing with Russo, Vince Russo stated:
"Oh I think so, I think so... Those guys can still put as*es in seats. Without a shadow of a doubt, they can put as*es in seats. So they would make that match mean something. Absolutely positively." [8:36 onwards]

Vince Russo believes John Cena is among the few names who miss Vince McMahon in WWE
While Vince McMahon's departure from the Stamford-based promotion does not seem to have caused any problems to the stars, Russo believes a few names still miss him.
On an episode of Legion of RAW, the veteran discussed a few stars who rose to popularity during McMahon's era and said they may be feeling his absence.
He stated:
"They've totally embraced Vince McMahon not being there. I don't think there is one person in that company that has shed a tear for Vince (McMahon) not being there. Now, I think guys like Cena feel it, to some extent guys like Rock, guys like Taker. The guys that Vince made, because they know bro. Cena would not be a movie star, Brock Lesnar would not be a multi-millionaire, those guys know that. So there's a part of those guys that like bro, doing it without Vince around is just not the same." [7:53 onwards]
Triple H has handled the business exceptionally well so far, and fans will have to stay tuned to see what he plans to do next in WWE.
