WWE legend The Rock played a pivotal role in making WrestleMania XL a grand success heading into the new era led by Triple H. Naturally, many wrestlers want to stand across The Final Boss in the ring, and now one major name outside WWE has expressed the same.

The star in question is Joe Hendry of TNA Wrestling. For the past few weeks, fans have been witnessing a crossover between NXT and TNA with Shawn Michaels being the mastermind behind the idea. Apart from Jordynne Grace, the 36-year-old male star also appeared on the latest episode of the white and gold brand. The Prestigious One got tossed out early in the Battle Royal which decided who would challenge Trick Williams for the NXT Title.

During a recent appearance on the Gabby AF podcast, Joe Hendry was asked if he had a dream opponent in mind following the collaboration with WWE. The TNA star named The Great One as someone who he would like to wrestle someday.

"I'm gonna say a few crazy things right here, because I just believe it to be true. If you go online, you will find a promo of me in 2017 calling out The Rock. And just for whatever reason, I believe in my heart that one day, I will stand and face The Rock in a professional wrestling ring. I just don’t know why, I just think it’s gonna happen one day," Hendry said. [From 06:22 to 06:46]

Top WWE star considers facing The Rock only under one condition

Dwayne Johnson on Night One of WrestleMania XL teamed up with Roman Reigns to defeat the team of Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. However, The Final Boss failed to stop The American Nightmare from winning the Undisputed WWE Championship in a "Bloodline Rules" match on Night Two.

The recent stint of The Rock in WWE saw him portraying a major heel. While speaking to Sports Illustrated, AJ Styles expressed his desire to go one-on-one with The Bloodline member but only if The Final Boss turned babyface for the program.

"Of course, I’m interested–but only if that means The Rock is turning babyface. I’m not interested in being a mediocre bad guy. I want to bring this to a whole new level," said Styles.
