The Rock's return around WrestleMania 40 changed the landscape of WWE in multiple ways. While the main event of the Grandest Stage of Them All turned around since his return, Seth Rollins has revealed that The Brahma Bull's appearance also "messed up" with his potential match against CM Punk.

Since CM Punk's return to WWE, his match with Seth Rollins has been anticipated as one of the biggest in the industry. The match was initially planned for WrestleMania XL, but things changed after Punk was injured at the Royal Rumble.

During a recent edition of INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, 16-time WWE champion Seth Rollins revealed that the original plans for WrestleMania 40 were likely him facing CM Punk. However, things turned around after The Rock returned to the company and the Second City Saint got injured at the Royal Rumble.

“It would have been Seth Rollins and CM Punk, I believe, but then you've got The Rock and his introduction into that story right after Royal Rumble or right before… he comes in and kind of didn't really understand the scope of what he was messing up, I don't think… So, I mean, all the stars were pointing towards CM Punk and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania, but, you know, it's tough business," stated Seth Rollins [14:38 onwards]

The Rock will reportedly main event WrestleMania 41

The Rock returned to WWE on the historic RAW episode on Netflix, making headlines worldwide. The Brahma Bull is reportedly set to be involved in the main event of the Grandest Stage of Them All.

As per a recent update from Xero News, the Final Boss will face Cody Rhodes on Night Two of the show.

While it is still uncertain when WWE will start building a storyline between both men around the Road to WrestleMania, a match involving them would be highly anticipated. Time will tell what the company has in store for both men in the future.
