We're in 2024 and The Bloodline saga is as hot as ever. As WWE heads towards Crown Jewel, Freddie Prinze Jr. opened up about The Rock's return and why The Great One could undergo another character change.
The build to WrestleMania 40 was pretty chaotic, to say the least, as The Rock's last-minute inclusion changed the dynamics of Cody Rhodes' rivalry with Roman Reigns. Rock turned heel and as The Final Boss, treated fans to a side of himself that they hadn't seen for years on wrestling TV. While Freddie Prinze Jr. was a fan of "Evil Rock", the former WWE writer could foresee a scenario where Dwayne Johnson reverts to being a babyface.
Prinze stated that The Rock returning to join forces with Roman Reigns could also make for some entertaining programming:
"I think Evil Rock was so hot that he won't try to top it and he might try to be good Rock and go with The OTC because he just did the evil Rock and you don't do the same thing every time. You can be evil Rock with Cody, but you can be good Rock with Roman and I love pretty much good Rock. Good Rock is great!" [From 18:48 onwards]

Moana 2 is scheduled to be out soon and Freddie Prinze Jr. speculated that The Rock would also want to retain his "nice guy" persona before the film's release.
The Rock has not been seen since WWE Bad Blood
CM Punk and Drew McIntyre might have the match of the night at Bad Blood but the Bloodline storyline predictably took center stage in the main event.
The dream team of Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes prevailed over Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu but The Rock showed up after the match to grab a bulk of the headlines. The Final Boss didn't do much apart from a seemingly putting his family members on notice and later, uploaded a backstage promo on his Instagram handle.
The Rock has not appeared on WWE Television since, as the fans patiently wait to learn more about his role in the ongoing Bloodline conflict.
