The Rock returning to WWE at Survivor Series would be "stupid booking" for one reason, says former employee (Exclusive)

The Rock made a surprise appearance at Bad Blood right after Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes defeated Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. This set the premise for The Final Boss to return and punish The American Nightmare once again. However, the Stamford-based promotion’s ex-writer Vince Russo believes that The Rock’s return at the Survivor Series would be a bad move.

The upcoming Survivor Series: WarGames PLE is scheduled for November 30, 2024. Speaking on the latest episode of BroDown, Vince Russo said that too much time will have elapsed between these two PLEs if The Final Boss makes a comeback for the WarGames match.

However, as an alternative, he did agree that Bronson Reed and Seth Rollins do make a good fit for the 10-man match.

“I was hoping that Bronson and Seth Rollins was a false flag and it was really gonna be Cody and The Rock. That's what I was hoping. We are too close, well, bro, who knows, they do a lot of stupid things, but we're really too close now for it to be The Rock. If The Rock is gonna be in the Survivor Series, bro, you gotta tell me that a month out. You can't drop that on me the week before. So I think they are way too close to the show to, at the last minute, announce The Rock in this match. And if they do, it's stupid booking. They should have done it a month ago,” he said. On this week’s episode of SmackDown, Solo Sikoa came up with another trump card against Roman Reigns and recruited Bronson Reed to his team. It will be interesting to see if this development leads to The Visionary joining forces with The OTC.
