Legendary wrestling manager Jim Cornette has commented on where Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk should take place. He thinks WWE SummerSlam is the perfect event to host the match.

The Second City Saint and The Scottish Warrior have been feuding for quite some time now, but they haven't wrestled each other yet. This is because the former is currently not medically cleared to compete, as he was injured during the Men's Royal Rumble match by the latter. On SmackDown last week, Drew McIntyre attacked CM Punk backstage and slammed him on the stage.

On the latest edition of The Jim Cornette Experience, the wrestling veteran said WWE came up with a good plan to keep the feud from getting stale. Cornette added that SummerSlam was not far away, and that's where the long-awaited match should happen.

"[SummerSlam will take place in] six weeks maybe. Remember when I said, you asked me you said, 'Well, shouldn't Drew get something back on Punk?' And I said, 'Yes, but I would hold on until I could be reasonably certain that I'm going to be able to promote the match before it would get stale,' right? I have a feeling they've got their date and they decided it won't be stale between now and then. And I think this is perfect because now he's got time to recuperate from this beating and come back and freshen this thing up and I have a feeling we'll probably see these two at SummerSlam." Drew McIntyre has another plan to win the World Heavyweight Title after CM Punk cost him at Clash at the Castle

The Scottish Warrior almost won the World Heavyweight Title at Clash at the Castle in his home country of Scotland, but CM Punk disguised himself as a referee and cost him the match. Drew McIntyre got retribution by assaulting The Voice of the Voiceless in his hometown of Chicago last week, leaving him covered in blood.

Since Punk is temporarily out of the picture, Drew McIntyre wants to win the Money in the Bank contract so he can cash it in and capture the World Heavyweight Championship. He will compete in a Triple Threat qualifying match on RAW next week. It'll be interesting to see how things pan out.
