Roman Reigns will be present on SmackDown this week!

While fans are looking forward to Roman Reigns' return to WWE TV on SmackDown, many believe things could get exciting after Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso revealed that they will also be present on the blue brand.

Both Cody and Jey have had fierce rivalries with The Tribal Chief in the past. After Main Event Jey left The Bloodline and SmackDown, he was brought over to RAW by the American Nightmare. The duo even won the WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championships at Fastlane after defeating Damian Priest and Finn Balor.

Cody and Jey have been quite active since winning the titles and even defended it on RAW against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. With the SmackDown season premiere set to take place this Friday, the American Nightmare stated that he feels like defending the gold on the blue brand. Jey Uso also agreed to the same, and it looks like the duo will be issuing an open challenge on SmackDown.

The two RAW stars showing up on Roman Reigns' hunting ground on the day of his return is unlikely to sit well with The Tribal Chief. However, fans are excited at the prospect of the former rivals coming face-to-face once again.

Embedded below are a few of the many responses:

Another rival of Roman Reigns teased for WWE SmackDown return

Roman Reigns has been at the top of the mountain in WWE for over three years, during which he has taken out a plentitude of stars. However, things could get tricky for The Tribal Chief in the coming time as some of them could return for retribution.

One such name is Randy Orton, who was put on the shelf by Reigns and The Bloodline over 500 days ago. While there is no definite word on the Viper's return, Rev Theory, the band behind Orton's iconic theme song "Voices," recently teased the 14-time world champion's return on SmackDown.

Besides Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso also being present on SmackDown, Roman Reigns may also have to deal with John Cena and LA Knight as the duo recently defeated Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso at Fastlane. It has been reported that The Head of the Table could face Knight at WWE Crown Jewel, and the build-up for the same could start on Friday night.

Also, if Cody Rhodes and Reigns are to face off at WrestleMania 40, SmackDown could be a good place to lay the groundwork for it.
