The Undertaker has revealed his pick for the greatest booking decision in WWE history. The Phenom mentioned that Cody Rhodes losing to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 might be the wisest choice the promotion has ever made.
Though The American Nightmare finished his story at WrestleMania 40 by dethroning Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Championship, many fans expected it to happen a year earlier at 'Mania 39. However, WWE chose to extend the story by having Cody Rhodes chase the gold for another year, making the eventual moment of winning in front of the Philly crowd even more worthwhile.
On a recent episode of his Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker shared his thoughts on Reigns retaining his title at WrestleMania 39. He explained that The Original Tribal Chief was at the top of his game at the time and that it made little sense to take the title off him. The Deadman then mentioned that the controversial booking decision might be the greatest one WWE has ever made.
"I mean Roman was well on his way before Cody even got there. I mean he already had a tremendous title run," Undertaker explained. "So I don't know that it means as much without Roman. I mean, Roman's top of the food chain...[It was] the greatest decision I think ever." (H/T - WrestlingInc)
The Undertaker wants Omos to become Dominik Mysterio's bodyguard in WWE
Elsewhere on the same podcast, The Undertaker spoke about Omos' unexplained absence from WWE.
The Hall of Famer believes the Nigerian Giant could be reintroduced as Dominik Mysterio's bodyguard on TV, which could further elevate the latter as one of the most despicable heels in all of wrestling.
“Maybe he needs a big heater. Let’s him get away with even more,” The Undertaker said, hinting at Omos being the man for the job. “Could you imagine him with a heater? Can’t touch me.”
Omos was last seen in WWE on SmackDown's go-home show to WrestleMania 40, where he lost in the Andre The Giant Battle Royal.
