The Undertaker has crossed paths with some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment since becoming a wrestler in 1987. The WWE legend recently recalled how he still wishes he took the chance to meet one of boxing's all-time greats, Muhammad Ali.
Ali is widely viewed among the most influential athletes in history. In 1985, the iconic sportsman was the special guest referee when Hulk Hogan and Mr. T beat Paul Orndorff and Roddy Piper at WrestleMania 1.
The Undertaker inducted Ali into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2024 during WrestleMania XL week. On Six Feet Under w/Mark Calaway, The Phenom admitted he should have met the boxer at least one time:
"I had the opportunity to meet Ali once, and I regret not probably doing that, going out of my way, but I didn't wanna bother him," The Undertaker said. "It was just the situation didn't feel like it was the right time to do it. But I wish I had now because I never got another opportunity to meet Ali." [56:13 – 56:39]

Ali was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease shortly after his boxing career ended in 1981. In 2016, he passed away at the age of 74 after being hospitalized with a respiratory illness.
The Undertaker on getting "starstruck" by celebrities
As one of the world's most famous wrestlers, The Undertaker often receives requests for autographs and pictures.
Aside from Muhammad Ali, the former WWE Champion does not think he has ever been starstruck by another sportsperson or celebrity:
"But not anybody else that I ever felt starstruck," The Undertaker said. "That's just not my deal. I just kinda look at people the way I wanna be looked at. And if that's your deal, I'll just leave you alone and let you enjoy your meal or whatever it is you're doing because I know it s*cks when you're trying to eat that steak and somebody's all up in your grill with their phone." In the same episode, the 2022 WWE Hall of Famer revealed he once had reservations about dressing up as one of his in-ring rivals.
