While Vince McMahon has been absent from WWE for quite a while now, he has been a part of a plethora of headlines around the world lately. In a recent appearance on CNBC, TKO President Mark Shapiro surprised the world after detailing a breakfast meeting with the 79-year-old.
Shapiro revealed that he had sat down with McMahon recently, for the first time since the latter's Netflix docuseries was released, and stated that McMahon was a 'total pro.' The TKO President added that Vince was no longer part of the company but was still a minor shareholder.
In a recent episode of The Coach and Bro Show on Backstage Pass, wrestling veteran Vince Russo slammed the TKO Executive for revealing the details of his meet on international television. The veteran claimed that more lawsuits were coming on Vince McMahon, and namedropping him now was undoubtedly a bad decision.
"That absolutely shocks me, Coach. What is he name-dropping, like what is the point? And if he did, what is the point in talking about it? [...] That makes no sense to me. We all know there are more lawsuits coming down the road. We know it’s going to happen. I don’t know why anybody would broadcast an association with Vince McMahon. There’s nothing positive that’s gonna come out of that," stated Vince Russo. [16:13 onward]
