"They asked me a number of times" - Trish Stratus details rejecting major offer during WWE career

Trish Stratus became a household name in the wrestling world during her WWE career. The former Women’s Champion opened up about surprising offers she got during her time in the Stamford-based company.

WWE Superstars were looking to earn some more bucks from their work outside the ring in the 2000s. Trish Stratus was one of the women who got offers from Playboy during her initial tenure from 2000 to 2006.

Christy Hemme, who was prominently featured as a Playboy Magazine cover girl in 2005, had a few rivalries with Trish Stratus. The Quintessential Diva opened up about the surprising offers she got from the magazine in an interview with Inside the Ropes.

"This whole s*xy thing is not really my thing, believe it or not. They asked me a number of times and I just declined a number of times," Trish Stratus said. [H/T Inside the Ropes]

Stratus emphasized how she wanted to build her wrestling career more than focusing on her appearance. That was a major factor in why she was not interested in signing with Playboy for some shoots.

"The [being] s*xy thing is not necessarily a natural thing to me, I’m very tomboy… But to be naked, is just like, ‘No, I’m good, thank you,’ and at the end of the day, I am here to be a wrestler," Trish Stratus said. [H/T Inside the Ropes]

Things worked out well in The Quintessential Diva’s favor as she is still known for her phenomenal performances in the ring. That is one of the main reasons why fans and WWE keep looking forward to her return.

Trish Stratus could return to give a 25-year-old WWE Superstar a major push

Trish Stratus was one of the prominent legends who was featured at the recent Money in the Bank Premium Live Event. Tiffany Stratton went on to win the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match at the show.

The 25-year-old star had a face-off with the legend backstage at the show. It looks like WWE is planting the seeds for a rivalry between the two women.

In a recent edition of the Busted Open Radio podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray stated that he sees a lot of potential in Stratton and that she could become the next Trish Stratus.

"There is Trish Stratus-esque potential when it comes to Tiffany Stratton," Bully Ray said.

WWE fans could see The Quintessential Diva return for another match this year to give The Buff Barbie a massive push. A rivalry between the two stars would certainly help the 25-year-old as she is already en route to a potential first title win on the main roster.
