Braun Strowman returned to in-ring action last week on WWE TV. The Monster Of All Monsters picked up a quick win over Carmelo Hayes. Both men ran it back this week on SmackDown. Melo ended up picking a countout win over Strowman in their rematch.
Speaking on a recent edition of BroDown on Backstage Pass, Vince Russo expressed his frustration with WWE's current direction involving Braun Strowman. He noted that Strowman's past booking didn't remotely come close to his current run.
Strowman was once regularly in contention for the Universal Championship but hasn't come close to a world title shot for years now.
"Okay bro, you remember he was throwing over trucks and he was in that big angle with Roman Reigns. Okay bro. Something happens and you change your mind with him, then cut him loose. They definitely switched gears on this guy, and he's not been over for years." [From 23:07 onwards]
Strowman had a few words to share following his controversial loss to Melo. The big man was brought to the ground by HIM with a series of chair shot attacks. It remains to be seen if both men will collide on a future episode of Friday Night SmackDown after the brutal beatdown.
