Gunther has made a major statement on WWE RAW tonight. He cut a promo before his upcoming World Heavyweight Championship match.

Since Gunther moved to the main roster, he has been a dominant force in the ring. The Ring General won the Intercontinental Championship and remained champion for over 600 days, making him the longest-reigning IC Champion in history.

Even after losing the title to Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 40, Gunther maintained his dominance. He went on to win the King of the Ring tournament, thereby earning himself a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam.

Just a few weeks away from his title match, the Ring General cut a video promo on RAW tonight. In it, he discussed his career highlights and mentioned that he cares about winning. The Ring General noted how he made NXT UK his battleground before realizing his opponents weren't much of a challenge.

"WWE had no choice but to call my name. They needed me. I did not need them," he said.

The former IC Champion also mentioned that he restored prestige and honor to professional wrestling, and that's what's at stake at SummerSlam.

It will be interesting to see if the Ring General can win his first World Title at SummerSlam.
