Chelsea Green and Piper Niven on WWE SmackDown (Image credits: WWE.com)
Chelsea Green became the first-ever WWE Women's United States Champion at Saturday Night's Main Event. The Canadian superstar beat Michin in the tournament finals. However, it seems like Vince Russo isn't a fan of Chelsea's post-title win booking on SmackDown.

Speaking during a recent edition of BroDown on Backstage Pass, Russo slammed WWE Creative for the segment featuring Chelsea Green and Piper Niven. He said the segment where Chelsea passed a remark on Piper made the US Champion look like the heel, which didn't make sense because the WWE was probably trying to turn her babyface:
"Well, this was weird Mac, because they're begging Chelsea Green to be babyface and they wrote this with Chelsea being the heel and Piper Niven being the babyface. When when when she dissed Piper Niven. Like I'm this was so a** backwards. They did nothing to help Chelsea." [28:02 onwards]

Russo had previously praised Chelsea for her Disneyland promo, which she cut after winning the Women's United States Championship. As for Piper, she's been side by side with Chelsea throughout her journey.
It seems like WWE wants to run back Chelsea Green vs. Michin for the title before we get to Chelsea Green vs. Piper Niven.

His earliest memory of watching pro wrestling was when The Rock faced The New Age Outlaws in a handicap match, but it was the John Cena vs. Edge match from Unforgiven 2006 that got him hooked. If given the chance to manage a star from the Attitude Era, he would choose The British Bulldog, as he believes Davey Boy Smith was a terrific worker and could've benefitted from having a mouthpiece for his lack of mic skills.
