A rare three-hour SmackDown this week featured some big moments and matches, with DIY defending their WWE Tag Team Championship against Motor City Machine Guns. While Dutch Mantell enjoyed the bout, he wasn't too happy about the finish.
DIY and MCMG have known each other for years and many fans were looking forward to their WWE Tag Team Championship match on this week's SmackDown.
The exceptionally gifted tag team wrestlers put on an entertaining match, which ended with Petty Deadly interfering and causing a disqualification. DIY has retained the titles but Dutch Mantell highlighted the repetitive booking regarding match finishes.
The former WWE manager explained on the latest episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk:
A former WWE writer just went after JBL for his comments HERE
"It was a good match... Then the finish. They ruined it all! You're right though, you can only do that finish so many times. Not really creative, it was a way to get out of it, is all I can say." [From 36:14 to 36:39]
Dutch Mantell admitted that he wasn't the biggest supporter of both DIY and MCMG but was glad to see the tag teams now have a story to work with on WWE TV. The feud between the tag teams has finally piqued the veteran's interest and he was eager to know how WWE would book it moving forward:
"I'm not a fan of either team but I'm starting to become a fan of DIY and Alex Shelley and Sabin. Now, they are beginning to tell a story, I'm kinda to get into it, and at least, I have a little bit of interest in it. They are at least telling a story and advancing it from there and we'll see where it goes." [From 36:40 to 37:12]

Despite the underwhelming ending to their SmackDown contest, DIY and MCMG will surely have more battles down the line for the Tag Team Titles.
