"This is a shame" - Alexa Bliss' impersonator case prompts a comment from WWE veteran (Exclusive)

A disturbing issue involving WWE star Alexa Bliss made headlines recently. This led to several veterans commenting on the matter, including former on-screen manager Dutch Mantell.

The scam being discussed was perpetrated on an elderly man in his 70s. The victim, Alfred Mancinelli, was allegedly made to believe that he was conversing with the real Alexa Bliss, who would ask for funds during their talks. This led to Alfred giving her nearly a million dollars.

On Sportskeeda's Smack Talk, Dutch Mantell shared his thoughts on the matter and stated:

"This is a shame. (...) It just goes to show you... hey, you get these scammers all the time. And this guy, whoever scammed him all of it, and it probably didn't take a lot of work either. How old is he?" [2:47 onwards]

He further added:

"It's a shame it happened. I just want everybody to take notice of that. Don't trust anybody online." [3:44 onwards]

Another ex-WWE star also commented on the Alexa Bliss impersonation

While Dutch Mantell feels sad about how the elderly individual got scammed, EC3 believes the victim is also partially to blame.

Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, the former WWE star explained his perspective:

"If someone is stupid enough to give you money, take it because if you don't, someone else will. I mean so obviously, over 625 million dollars of people falling for these scams, it's sad. It's unfortunate, but how much empathy can you give someone when this, like you fall for it, and that's just like, unfortunately... I don't know." [3:52 onwards]

As of now, it remains to be seen if WWE star Alexa Bliss will also give her take on the matter somewhere down the line.
