#3 Lio Rush jokes about Emma's WWE release
In 2017, Asuka made her WWE main roster debut in a match against Emma at that year's TLC pay-per-view. Coincidentally, that was Emma's last match in the company before she was released from her contract.
Former WWE Superstar Lio Rush, who was competing in NXT at the time, made a joke about Emma's release on Twitter. He stated that Emma was not ready for Asuka in their match.
His comments landed him in hot water, and he received major heat from other wrestlers. Lio Rush was also pulled from many NXT live events before the company decided to move him to 205 Live. Several wrestlers in WWE weighed in on The Man of the Hour's controversial comments.
Lio Rush went on to delete the tweet, and he apologized to Emma. What initially seemed like a playful joke to Rush turned into something he didn't expect at all. In 2020, the former WWE star was released due to budget cuts.
