WWE Superstars were scared to cross paths with Vince McMahon, as the boss would have no mercy on anyone who challenged him. Recently, TNA legend Eric Young said confronting McMahon terribly affected Sanity's career on the main roster.

Eric Young is one of TNA's originals and a decorated star in the Orlando-based promotion. Besides capturing every TNA title, Young had a short stint with WWE under Vince McMahon's regime, which didn't end well for him and his group.

In an interview with Chris Van Vliet of Insight, Eric Young stated he confronted Vince McMahon when Sanity made it to WWE's main roster and the management had no plans for them. However, it went terribly for the faction. EY said:

"The unfortunate truth is there's one person that didn't get it and he's the only person that mattered. I talked to [Vince McMahon] like I talked to anybody. I interrupted [him], and I was told to do it by people there, and I went and interrupted a meeting he was in. We had a very good conversation, and he said, 'Do you have ideas?' I said, 'Yep, sure do.' Came in the next week, pitched ideas."

He added:

"He was very open and very complimentary. Thank you for bringing this in, and thank you for showing initiative. And then they sent Damo and Wolfe back to NXT, and then I got sent over to RAW and it got worse. I mean, I didn't do anything. I didn't make him mad. I didn't have a bad match, there's nothing I did. He just decided that I was no good at whatever I was that I was doing, I wasn't doing anything," Young said. [H/T - CVV]

What did Vince McMahon do with Sanity on WWE's main roster?

In 2018, Sanity ended its run on the former black and gold brand and went to WWE's main roster under Vince McMahon's creative leadership. The trio suffered under McMahon's booking as the creative never understood the characters.

Later, the trio worked in the tag team division for a while and feuded with The New Day. In the coming year, the trio lost to The Miz in a Falls Count Anywhere handicap match and lost all the momentum on the brand.

In the coming months, the faction ended as every star moved to a different brand. Later, all members were released from WWE, except Nikki Cross.
