They will both be remembered as iconic wrestling superstars, but it seems like one former WWE personality is convinced The Rock is the greatest, even above John Cena. Jonathan Coachman even explained why he believed so.

Long before John Cena arrived in the WWE, The Rock had already established himself as a main event star who'd already made his entry into Hollywood. The Rock and John Cena would go on to have two high-profile WrestleMania matches and, most recently, had a face-off during Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns' World Title match at this year's Show of Shows.

While discussing John Cena's career on The Angle Podcast, Jonathan Coachman said he didn't consider The Cenation Leader to be the 'GOAT' as he reserved that label for The Rock.

Jonathan Coachman was involved in several memorable interview segments with The Rock, but that wasn't why he'd picked The Final Boss as his greatest wrestler of all time.

"[Cena] has done it almost better than anybody, but he is not the greatest of all time. To me, The Rock will always be the greatest of all time because I saw it first-hand. All the top fives you're talking about? I was there, and to me, there is nobody who was able to diversify and be better than what The Rock was able to do." [From 16:39 to 16:56]

Jonathan Coachman explained how The Rock raised the stock of WWE compared to other icons

Pro wrestling has seen some absolute legends over the decades who have had a massive influence on the business. Jonathan Coachman clarified that while he admired The Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Hulk Hogan, what The Rock had done was previously unheard of.

Dwayne Johnson branched out into Hollywood and made a huge career as an actor while increasing the stock of WWE and making the company "worth a billion dollars."

"Love 'Taker, love Stone Cold, Hulk Hogan was a big name. But The Rock made it, moved the needle, and made the company worth a billion dollars, and then got a movie career out of it. That, to me, is GOAT status right there. He is, to me, the greatest of all time." [From 16:57 to 17:11]

The Rock was last seen at WrestleMania 40, but given his powerful position in the WWE and the never-ending Bloodline storyline, fans should expect him back on TV for his next match.
