The Street Profits got into a backstage brawl with a top SmackDown duo, leading to a match. Interestingly, it was that team's first match in 70 days.
The underrated Los Garza duo of Angel and Berto hasn't gotten nearly enough TV time compared to what they deserve. Angel might be underutilized, but he has signed on to WWE for nearly three more years, stating that the money offered was just a little too good to refuse.
Either way, he and Berto finally had their first match in 70 days on SmackDown and killed it. They made the most of the opportunity despite losing to The Street Profits.
So, how exactly did the match come about? Nick Aldis confronted DiY, stating that there were a couple of witnesses to the attack on The Street Profits three weeks ago—the attack that directly led to DiY replacing them and winning the tag team titles from The Motor City Machine Guns.
Pretty Deadly was the duo who witnessed the attack. After Nick Aldis dismissed their musical idea, they said "Gaaar-za" - insinuating that it was Gargano before seemingly throwing Angel Garza under the bus.
It led to a brawl between The Profits and Los Garza, which Nick Aldis used to set up a match.
Apollo Crews later informed The Profits that they were getting played and that DiY was behind the attack, not Los Garza.
