Hall of Famer & current NXT color commentator Booker T recently commented on the rumors suggesting Drew McIntyre is leaving WWE.
After spending nearly seven years as an active competitor in the Stamford-based company, McIntyre left for the first time in June 2014. The Scottish Warrior then started wrestling on the independent circuit for about three years before re-signing with WWE in 2017. He has since become one of the top superstars on the roster, winning the WWE Championship twice.
However, rumors recently suggested that McIntyre could be leaving the company after his contract expires in early 2024. During the latest episode of his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T addressed these rumors, stating that the 37-year-old's absence from the World Heavyweight Championship tournament "kinda says a little bit of something."
"Yeah, I heard that Drew McIntyre's contract is coming up and he maybe leaving to move on to other things. I don't know. I don't know how true that is. Him not being in this tournament [the World Heavyweight Championship tournament] kinda like says a little bit of something, right? [Yeah, maybe. Former WWE Champion two times.] Exactly. So, we'll see how this thing plays out," he said. [56:54 - 57:14]
