Having worked many different gimmicks during his 20-plus years in the business, WWE Superstar Joaquin Wilde has shared his thoughts on how creative changed his persona.
Debuting for the company in 2019 in the company's third brand, NXT as part of the Legado Del Fantasma faction, Wilde was presented as a stoic and determined villain.
During a recent interview on the Out of Character podcast, the 36-year-old shared his thoughts on what it feels like when company higher-ups change his wrestling gimmick.
"Some people, they come to WWE and they just kind of get to do the same thing that they were doing on the independents, or wherever they were at previously. My journey was very different. It was, I get to WWE, and they just completely change everything about me, and I think for the better." (H/T 411 Mania)

Recently, Wilde, along with Santos Escobar, Zelina Vega, and Cruz Del Toro, have all embraced the lighter side of their characters after they joined the revamped Latino World Order with Rey Mysterio.
Santos Escobar on the LWO's WWE potential
Since Escobar and his team joined the Latino World Order, all members of the faction's popularity and star power have risen dramatically on the main roster.
Speaking to Kayla Braxton on The Bump, Santos Escobar was asked how it feels to be a member of the modern-day version of the Latino World Order.
"To be a part of this reincarnation, reformation, regrouping of the LWO, it's very important to me because I get to carry on with what they did. And I get to put my own sauce and my own salt and pepper on it. And I love that." (H/T Wrestling Inc)
The LWO recently introduced a new member to the group in the form of music superstar Bad Bunny, after World Wrestling Entertainment held the Backlash Premium Live Event in the rapper's home country of Puerto Rico.
