Top WWE SmackDown star misses major show; Faction suffers devastating loss

A popular WWE SmackDown star was nowhere to be seen to help his faction in a major title match at NXT Heatwave Premium Live Event. The star being referred to is Ridge Holland.

During the show, Axiom and Nathan Frazer teamed up to face off against Andre Chase and Duke Hudson with the WWE NXT Tag Team Championship on the line. The stars put on an amazing display of action inside the squared circle. The champions started the bout strong but for the most part, it was a back-and-forth affair. Chase U members took control of the match and it looked like new champions would be crowned at the end of the bout. However, Axiom and Frazer ultimately emerged victorious to retain their titles.

Andre Chase and Duke Hudon had Thea Hail and Riley Osborne to support them at ringside. However, SmackDown star Ridge Holland was nowhere to be seen during his teammates' important match.

Another high-profile match at NXT Heatwave is still to go as Trick Williams is set to take on Ethan Page, Shawn Spears, and Je'Von Evans in a Fatal Four-Way Match with the WWE NXT Championship on the line. It will be interesting to see if Williams will retain his title or not.
