The July 30, 2024, show of WWE NXT Great American Bash saw a top star get back to his winning ways. The 34-year-old pro wrestler shattered a humiliating 982-day losing streak on the show and defeated an unruly star while finally giving his fans more reasons to cheer for him.

Cedric Alexander was signed by the NXT brand of WWE on July 9, 2024, surprising everyone with his new look. Now, Alexander has finally secured a victory to add more strength to his refurbished avatar by defeating Brooks Jensen.

Cedric Alexander had last won a match on November 22, 2021, against Reggie to win the 24/7 Championship. Unfortunately, he couldn’t defend his title and had since lost all the matches that followed. However, he has now successfully pinned a rampaging superstar of the developmental brand in the form of Jensen.

Alexander’s losing streak saw him losing a match to Trick Williams after a vicious Trick Shot last week. This loss came after after his embarrassing 13-second defeat against Bron Breakker on WWE SmackDown in April. Following this win at WWE NXT’s Great American Bash, it would be interesting to see if Cedric Alexander is able to maintain his form and win more matches going forward.
