Zamariah “ZZ” Loupe was released on 28th July from his developmental contract with WWE. He had made it to the final two of the entire Tough Enough competition, being runner-up to Joshua Bredl, who now goes by the ring name “Bronson Matthews”.
ZZ was very fond of catching alligators, something that was well documented in the WWE Network series Breaking Ground. It looks like ZZ’s wrestling days are far from over, as WildKat Sports & Entertainment in New Orleans have announced that he is their newest trainee:

The academy has also been quoted as stating:
“If you watched the show then you would think ZZ is all fun and games, truth be told... He's come to Wildkat with a hungry wrestling work ethic to go along with his playful attitude. We are happy to welcome him to the team and look forward to his progress.”
ZZ was criticised in WWE for his supposed laziness and his slow progress in cutting weight. Even on the Tough Enough competition, trainers Lita, Booker T & Billy Gunn were constantly surprised that the WWE Universe voted for ZZ to get as far as he did.
However, there were eventual praises for ZZ’s improvement in his work ethic, something that he has perhaps carried on to his next adventure.
The female winner of Tough Enough last year, Sara Lee, was released a few days ago from her WWE contract as well. She had revealed on her facebook profile that she was pregnant with her boyfriend Wesley Blake (who is a former NXT Tag Team Champion).
It is not cited as to whether that itself is the reason for her release, or whether she had asked for a release, but it certainly did add to the curse that happens towards Tough Enough winners. Joshua Bredl, the male winner of Tough Enough, is yet to make his televised debut, while one of the runner-ups, Patrick Clark, has already made multiple appearances on NXT television.
Even female runner-up Mandy Rose has made a couple of televised appearances, establishing a “Golden Goddess” character, based on her blonde hair, her golden attire, and her beauty.
While fans initially feared that she would be somewhere along the lines of Eva Marie in terms of greenness in the ring, she has put those fears to rest, as she has had some good matches in the ring already, furthering her status as an up-and-coming potential breakout star.
