Triple H breaks silence to congratulate newly crowned WWE champion

WWE Head of Creative Triple H recently shared a social media update to congratulate a newly crowned champion. The star won her first singles title in the wrestling promotion.

Former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion Candice LeRae has become the inaugural WWE Speed Women's Champion. The 39-year-old defeated IYO SKY in the final to win the gold. LeRae scored wins against Kairi Sane and Piper Niven in the previous rounds of the eight-woman tournament.

Triple H recently took to his X/Twitter account to share a picture with the newly crowned champion. He praised LeRae and congratulated her on the historic win.

"Never underestimate a Superstar as talented, determined and hungry as @CandiceLeRae. Huge congrats to your first-ever #WWESpeed Women's Champion on a history-making victory," he wrote.

Wrestling veteran wants Triple H to retire major WWE title

Considering the depth of the current roster, many fans have been pushing for the wrestling promotion to introduce more titles, especially for the women's division. However, wrestling veteran Jonathan Coachman recently revealed he wanted Triple H to retire the World Heavyweight Championship.

The WWE Head of Creative introduced the title in April 2023, with Seth Rollins becoming the inaugural champion at Night of Champions. This year's King of the Ring winner, Gunther, is the current World Heavyweight Champion. The Ring General won the belt by defeating Damian Priest at SummerSlam.

On a recent edition of the Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, Coachman stated he was praying for the global juggernaut to drop the championship. The 51-year-old favors a single world championship for the main roster. The veteran added that he was confident the wrestling promotion would do it one day.

"I'm praying that they see the light and that they drop the title at some point. But we know because Triple H believes that title is the most important thing to their respective shows. I'm begging them to go back to one World Heavyweight Title. Enough with the WWE. Enough with the World Title. Make it one and make the guy work his a** off on both shows, period, end of story. The World Heavyweight Champion Gunther will face the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at the upcoming Crown Jewel Premium Live Event for the recently unveiled Crown Jewel Championship. It remains to be seen who will come out on top on November 2 at Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh.
