WWE's Chief Content Officer Triple H recently discussed John Cena's 2025 retirement tour. The Game also hinted that the 16-time world champion would make a major announcement on RAW's Netflix debut on January 6.
The Stamford-based promotion is all set for the red brand's big debut on the streaming platform. The company has already revealed some incredible matches on the card, including a dream match between CM Punk and Seth Rollins. Moreover, they have also announced the returns of legendary names, including The Rock and John Cena.
For those unaware, Cena has announced that he would retire from in-ring competition at the end of 2025. Since then, The Cenation Leader has been announced for several big shows, including the Royal Rumble and the Elimination Chamber.
Ahead of RAW's big Netflix debut, Triple H gave an interview to Jimmy Traina of Sports Illustrated. During the conversation, The King of Kings said that he wanted John Cena to feel satisfied and fulfilled after the latter's last run finishes at the end of 2025.
The Game also revealed that the 16-time world champion would announce what's in store for his farewell tour during his appearance on RAW's Netflix debut.
"I just want it to be great for John [Cena]. I want it to be great for fans, but first and foremost, I want John, when he gets to the end of this one-year run to say, 'That was the perfect out. That was the perfect last run. I did all the things I wanted to do. I performed the way I wanted to perform. I did all that stuff.' When he gets to the end, he feels fulfilled and satisfied with it. He's earned that as much or maybe even more than anybody else. (...) I think on Monday Night [RAW], he's going to give a lot of clarity into what that year would be like for him," he added.
