WWE and celebrities are synonymous. The non-wrestling side of the entertainment world was a key part of Vince McMahon's big growth plan. Famous people continue flocking to the Stamford-based promotion these days, and celebrities often become close friends with superstars. Triple H just sent a public message to one of his well-known pals.
Jelly Roll is a longtime pro wrestling fan. The singer, rapper, and songwriter provided his 'Liar' and 'Dead End Road' singles as SummerSlam theme songs this year. He also performed 'God Bless America' at the PLE, then 'Liar' after a grand introduction by The Game. The 21-year music industry veteran worked a RAW angle last year and has been present for numerous events, including WrestleMania 38 and 39. He thanked WWE for making a childhood dream come true after impressing officials with his in-ring altercation with A-Town Down Under at SummerSlam.
World Wrestling Entertainment's Chief Content Officer has maintained his friendship with Jelly Roll. Triple H took to X (fka Twitter) today to congratulate the Grammy-nominated artist on the release of his 'Beautifully Broken' album. He included the album artwork, which seems right up his alley.
"Wanted to congratulate my friend @JellyRoll615 on the release of his new album, "Beautifully Broken". Check it out now on @Spotify & @AppleMusic," Triple H wrote with the photo below.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Jelly Roll's new 'Beautifully Broken' album features another celebrity friend of Triple H who was at SummerSlam: MGK. The two linked up for the 'Time of Day' song on the album. Cody Rhodes also sent a special message to Jelly earlier today.
John Cena interested in a WWE celebrity match
WWE Superstars and celebrities have mixed it up in the ring since before WrestleMania I. John Cena is one of those celebrity-fighting superstars, as he has worked with and against names like Seth Green, Kevin Federline, and Jon Stewart.
After Jelly Roll reacted to his SummerSlam in-ring segment several weeks back, Cena responded and expressed interest in teaming up with the singer-songwriter.
"Have listened to his music, had the privilege of spending some time with him, and now know I have a GREAT option for a tag team partner anytime @WWE comes to Nashville! @JellyRoll615’s Time is Now!!!! #SummerSlam," John Cena wrote.
Cena is set to begin his 2025 retirement campaign in the next few months, which is set to begin with his final WrestleMania. It will be interesting to see if any celebrity matches are in the works for Cena's final in-ring contests.
