Roman Reigns stood united with The Usos on the November 1 episode of WWE SmackDown ahead of Crown Jewel. Former WWE writer Vince Russo watched the show and struggled to apply logic to the original Bloodline's reunion segment.

On October 25, Jey Uso's interference cost Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa the WWE Tag Team Championship against The Motor City Machine Guns on SmackDown. Three days later, Jey and Jimmy Uso came out on top after a sneak attack from the former tag champions and Jacob Fatu on RAW.

Reviewing SmackDown on Backstage Pass show BroDown, Russo told host Mac Davis that Triple H's booking of The Bloodline did not make sense. He believes WWE's Chief Content Officer ruined the reunion by having The Usos fight off Sikoa's version of The Bloodline without Reigns' help:

"This is the absolute fundamentals of writing, and I go back to it, it's not personal, Triple H is not a writer," Russo said. "Mac, if we scr*wed them out of the titles on Friday, the two of us beat the cr*p out of three of them on Monday, what do we need Roman Reigns for?"

Reigns and The Usos pointed their fingers to the sky in solidarity after Jey Uso received assurances that the reunited Bloodline members were all "equal." Reigns, the group's former leader, simply replied, "Yeet."

How Vince Russo would have booked Roman Reigns' reunion with The Usos

In the late 1990s, Vince Russo wrote television for WWE when RAW regularly drew the highest ratings in the show's history.

According to the 63-year-old, Triple H should have let Solo Sikoa's Bloodline beat up The Usos at least twice on RAW or SmackDown. That way, fans would be even more excited for Roman Reigns to save his cousins before officially reforming the original Bloodline.

"Mac, you do this scene [Bloodline finger-point gesture] after they've been beaten down," Russo continued. "After they've beaten down The Usos for a couple of weeks and gotten heat on Roman Reigns, after you put heat on the heels, then you do this [Bloodline gesture]. They don't need to reunite because obviously the last two weeks Jey and Jimmy didn't need Roman."

The pre-taped SmackDown segment aired a day before Reigns and The Usos' Crown Jewel match against Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga.
