WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H got physical with Kevin Owens after Saturday Night's Main Event went off the air. A former WWE employee recently wondered if The Game has gotten in trouble with upper management for putting his hands on The Prizefighter.
After losing to Cody Rhodes in an Undisputed WWE Championship match at Saturday Night's Main Event, Owens brutally attacked The American Nightmare as the latter attempted to cut a promo after the show went off the air. The Prizefighter then took the title as he headed backstage.
While Owens stood on the stage, Triple H walked out and got into a physical altercation with him. The two shoved each other before referees separated them. Former WWE employee Tommy Carlucci recently discussed the incident on the Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast.
The man, who spent over 30 years in the Stamford-based company, wondered why the company did not mention the incident on RAW. He questioned if The Game got in trouble with upper management for hitting a talent:
A WWE Hall of Famer isn't a John Cena fan. More details HERE
"I was surprised at the physicality but there was no follow-up tonight. They showed the package of Cody getting hammered there but they never showed the aftermath or talked about any repercussions between Triple H and KO. Is he in trouble? Maybe upper management saw Triple H as a senior guy, you know, you're an executive there, you can't be like, can't be hitting talent, you know what I mean?" Carlucci said.
The former employee pointed out that The Game was the one who initiated the violence. Meanwhile, he expressed his desire to see a follow-up:
"And that's what he did. He struck Kevin Owens. I know he didn't like what he did to Cody but he actually initiated the whole violent thing and there was no follow-up to it. So, I hope somewhere down the line there's a follow-up," he said. [18:19 - 18:55]
Will Triple H ever wrestle again in a WWE ring?
After Triple H's physical altercation with Kevin Owens, many fans speculated whether The Game could come out of retirement to compete again inside the squared circle. The 14-time World Champion hung up his boots two years ago after suffering a serious heart issue.
On the same episode of the Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, Tommy Carlucci disclosed that he believes Triple H will never wrestle again:
"No, he's not. He's not wrestling," he said. [18:14 - 18:16]
Carlucci's co-host, wrestling veteran Jonathan Coachman, also predicted that The Game will never return to the ring.
