Several WWE Superstars have made a successful jump to Hollywood over the years, and superstars continue to follow the trail blazed by The Rock, John Cena, Batista, and even Triple H. Now The Game has issued immense praise to a handful of current stars, declaring them to be real-life superheroes.
The superstars of World Wrestling Entertainment have been larger than life since the beginning. Several wrestling legends have played actual Marvel or DC superheroes on the silver screen but many of their fans in the WWE Universe have viewed them as superheroes long before Hollywood.
WWE's Chief Content Officer recently praised several superstars as real-life superheroes while on The Roommates Show. Triple H talked potential crossovers, and specifically named Roman Reigns, Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, and Jade Cargill as stand-outs.
"Wrestling is accepted now. If somebody goes and does a movie or TV film, it’s so accepted to where it’s not, ‘What’s this wrestler doing in this movie?’ Now, they can sort of fit in and people are more accepted of it. I think over the years, you’ll see some of that. Guys like Roman Reigns, and some of our women too. Rhea Ripley or people like that. Especially with action movies and the superhero genre, if Rhea Ripley is not a superhero, I’m not sure who is. Bianca Belair is another. Jade Cargill. If they’re not superheroes, what is?" Triple H said. [H/T - Fightful]
Former WWE writer buries Judgment Day HERE
The Tribal Chief, The Eradicator, and The EST are all booked for the upcoming RAW Netflix premiere. Ripley will challenge Women's World Champion Liv Morgan, Reigns will face Solo Sikoa in a high-stakes Tribal Combat match, and Belair has been front-and-center on advertising since day one. Cargill, who holds the Women's Tag Team Championship with Belair, is currently on the shelf after an injury.
Triple H praises new WWE World Tag Team Champions
The War Raiders have finally dethroned The Judgment Day of the WWE World Tag Team Championship. Monday's RAW saw Erik and Ivar defeat Finn Balor and JD McDonagh in the 16-minute main event to begin their second reign with the titles.
Triple H took to X after RAW and congratulated War Beard and Death Rowe on the victory. WWE's Chief Content Officer included one of his signature backstage photos with the champs.
"To the edge of the cliff and back… Congratulations to #WarRaiders, your NEW World Tag Team Champions. #WWERAW," Triple H wrote with the photo below.
Balor and McDonagh held the titles for 175 days in their first reign together. The Irish Superstars were criticized by some fans for making just three televised title defenses since dethroning Awesome Truth on June 24. They retained over The New Day in mid-September, retained over The War Raiders in late November, but then lost the rematch this past Monday.
