The introduction of a new title in WWE has turned quite a few heads recently. While fans argue who may be the first to be the inaugural belt holder, a veteran has named a three-time champion as a prospect.
The champion being discussed, IYO SKY, has had a distinguished run in the Stamford-based promotion so far. Since joining the company in 2018, she has been the Women's Champion once as well as bagging the Women's Tag Team Title twice with Dakota Kai. Her on-screen presence is certainly admirable, as is her skill inside the ring. Chief Creative Officer Triple H has a massive decision to make and Bill Apter thinks SKY should be given the nod to become the inaugural champion.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's UnSKripted, Bill Apter suggested her name as one of the potential stars who could carry the WWE Women's US Title. The veteran journalist explained that SKY would be a good fit as she was over with the fans.
"You know what you need for the US champion? You need a super looking person. The other person that was chatting back and forth this evening, was IYO SKY, who I also think would be a good fit. She is very over with the fans, they love her. It would be a great spot for her." [15:35 onwards]
