Triple H became WWE's creative figurehead in July 2022 after his father-in-law Vince McMahon stepped down amid misconduct allegations. Wrestling legend Kevin Nash recently gave his take on what The Game would have done if McMahon permanently returned to power.
In January 2023, McMahon was reinstated as WWE's Executive Chairman to oversee the sale of the company to Endeavor. While Triple H continued as the head of creative, his wife and Vince's daughter Stephanie left her role as Chairwoman.
Nash has been close friends with Triple H since the 1990s. On his Kliq This podcast, the 65-year-old speculated that his fellow Kliq member would have quit if McMahon took creative responsibilities away from him:
"I think at that point if it wouldn't have went the way it did, I think Paul [Paul Levesque, Triple H's real name] would have walked," Nash said. "Steph already had. We never had the conversation, but I know Paul. I just think that it's like f**k, man. I have talked to Paul about some other things. I know some other information that made me feel really good when I heard how Endeavor felt about Paul." [1:47:45 – 1:48:23]

In January, McMahon left WWE again after former employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against him. The 79-year-old denied Grant's sexual trafficking allegations before resigning from WWE's parent company TKO "out of respect."
Kevin Nash addresses his 1996 stance on Triple H in WWE
In 1996, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall famously left WWE to join WCW. Nash recently said Vince McMahon lost two of his top five stars around that time, prompting a listener to question who the other three wrestlers were.
One fan thought Nash was talking about his Kliq stablemates Sean Waltman, Shawn Michaels, and Triple H. However, he was referring to Michaels, Bret Hart, and The Undertaker:
"No, the other three were 'Taker, Bret, and Shawn because Hunter [Triple H] was still just kinda working his way up," Nash stated. [1:45:00 – 1:45:12]
Nash added that Triple H is one of wrestling's all-time greats from a business standpoint, but he was not considered a major star in 1996.
