WWE fans may soon be seeing Triple H in a more direct on-screen role, an NWA Hall of Famer believes. Recent events have prompted the legend to suggest a new role for The Game, which does seem feasible.
Triple H was recently seen getting physically involved with Kevin Owens after the Saturday Night's Main Event show went off-air. Owens, as many would expect, did not take it lying down and actually attacked HHH as well. The spot garnered a lot of attention from fans, despite not being aired on NBC itself. Legendary journalist and NWA Hall of Famer Bill Apter has also commented on the angle.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's UnSKripted, Bill Apter suggested that the WWE CCO could act as a special referee in another match between Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes.
"My thinking now is, you know he said that he is not gonna wrestle again... However, however, in another role, Cody Rhodes comes back, KO (Kevin Owens) the next match, special guest referee Paul Levesque, Triple H. I think that is something that, in terms of his health, that he could probably work out... I think it would be less physical exertion or anything with him as a referee. And it would add an extra, it would give a reason to that whole thing happening that 45 million people watched." [12:25 onwards]
For now, it remains to be seen if Bill Apter's prediction will come true someday in WWE.
