Sportskeeda senior editor Bill Apter recently spoke about how Triple H exercised his power this week on SmackDown. The Chief Content Officer stepped in to make a match between Randy Orton and Kevin Owens.

Randy called out The Game this week, asking him to set up a match between Orton and Owens. Hunter was hesitant at first, claiming that he had spoken to KO and that he seemed like a deranged man. He said that he was trying to protect The Viper from Kevin, recalling how Orton had been out of action for over a year due to his bad back.

After this week's episode of SmackDown, Bill Apter detailed that Triple H stepping in made sense because the General Manager Nick Aldis indicated last week that the decisions were above his pay grade. The Hall of Fame journalist pointed out that Hunter naturally had to intervene as Chief Content Officer and sort out the matter between Orton and Owens, even if it meant talking to KO.

"Triple H talking to KO definitely makes sense. He is in the SmackDown roster. So if the General Manager can't get things in order, the only person, over him, to do that is Triple H, in storyline," Apter stated.

Hunter finally gave in to Randy and made the match official for Crown Jewel. However, he asked Randy to watch his back, indicating that KO could lurk around, ready to pounce at the Legend Killer.

It will be interesting to see who emerges victorious at Crown Jewel when these two former friends collide in a personal battle.
