Triple H's reaction to incident between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens ridiculed by WWE veteran (Exclusive)

Bad Blood 2024 was an eventful show for WWE as even after the cameras stopped rolling, they seemingly presented an angle involving Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes. While speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW podcast, wrestling veteran Vince Russo shared his honest thoughts on the unfamiliar booking and Triple H's reaction.

While they have teased a face turn recently, WWE did not pull the trigger on Kevin Owens turning heel at Bad Blood 2024. Instead, KO was seen attacking Rhodes in the parking lot, and interestingly, the Stamford-based company did not post a single clip of the brawl.

They hoped that fans would make the footage go viral, and a section of the fanbase seemed impressed by the apparent ingenuity. Vince Russo believed otherwise.

Among multiple issues, Russo pointed out Triple H's statement about the entire incident as WWE said they would investigate the matter internally before making a decision.

The former WWE head writer mocked the reaction, as you can see below:

"Chris, on top of all that, Triple H, 'We are going to handle this internally' (laughs). Everything else we're going to do out in the ring, but this is going to be handled internally, bro. This is actually going through HR. Oh my god!" [29:31 - 29:50]

Vince Russo felt the quality of angles had drastically reduced in pro wrestling as time passed, and so did the fan expectations, which are currently at an all-time low.

Russo recalled a segment from the Attitude Era in which Stone Cold Steve Austin and Kane dumped Paul Bearer into a sewer after opening a manhole. Vince admitted that after watching the mindblowing content from decades ago, the KO-Cody segment after Bad Blood 2024 just looked pale in comparison:

"And I'm watching this footage after Bad Blood, and I'm like, 'Oh my god, bro, come on, will ya?'" [30:57 - 31:04]
