Intercontinental Champion Gunther has been booked as an unstoppable force under Triple H in WWE. The Ring General has not been pinned or submitted in nearly two years on the main roster. During this time, he has put on some great matches with different wrestlers. Another name fans are excited to see stand across the ring from Imperium leader is Tyler Bate, who recently moved up to the main roster.

Bate has been a part of WWE for over seven years. The English star won the inaugural NXT UK Championship at just 19 years old, becoming the second teenager in WWE history to win a title. He was a part of NXT and NXT UK for a long time before finally being promoted last week. Bate joined his former stablemate Butch on SmackDown to defeat Pretty Deadly on his main roster debut.

Tyler Bate's move up to the main roster has also got the fans excited for a possible rematch against Gunther. The duo were fierce rivals during their time on the European independent circuit and last collided in 2019 when The Ring General was the NXT UK Champion. With the two now part of the main roster, fans have urged Triple H to give them the highly-anticipated rematch.

Triple H praised Gunther after his win over former WWE Champion

Gunther has been one of the top names in WWE over the last year and a half. The Ring General did not take a long time in winning the Intercontinental Championship after making his main roster debut and has held on to the title ever since.

The Austrian star last defended his title against The Miz, where, despite the latter's best efforts, he was still able to come out on top. He also received praise from Triple H after the bout.

"556 days and counting… and still getting better every day. @Gunther_AUT #WWERaw," he wrote.

The Imperium leader took a short hiatus after his win over the Miz. However, he will be back in the upcoming edition of RAW. He is also one of the favorites to win the Royal Rumble this year.

The Ring General put on an incredible performance at last year's show, where he survived over an hour and was the last person to be eliminated. His showdown with Brock Lesnar was also one of the most talked about topics after the match.
