WWE Creative, led by Triple H, has seemingly been pushing a former RAW Tag Team Champion on the red brand over the past few months. However, wrestling veteran Matthew Rehwoldt (fka Aiden English) feels the company has cooled down its plans for the 38-year-old superstar.

The in-ring competitor in question is Chad Gable. The leader of Alpha Academy lost another opportunity to capture the Intercontinental Championship after losing to Sami Zayn at Clash at the Castle. Last Monday on RAW, he suffered another defeat against Braun Strowman. As he continued to mistreat Akira Tozawa and Maxxine Dupri after the match, Otis shoved him. Later that night, Tozawa, Dupri, and Otis packed their bags and told their leader they were "done."

While discussing Gable's future on the Rebooked podcast, Rehwoldt expressed his concern about the former RAW Tag Team Champion's future. He claimed that it seems like his push "has been pulled back."

"It feels like this turn from Gable, the way he treated, you know, the way he's been interacting with The Alpha Academy was meant to be a vehicle to elevate him and I feel like it either has been pulled back and I feel like the gas has been let off of that idea. And that makes me sad. So, I'm hoping I'm wrong, and especially again given the end end of Monday Night RAW," he said. [From 40:00 to 40:29]

Wyatt Sicks6 took out Chad Gable on WWE RAW

Last Monday, the Wyatt Sicks6 faction, led by Uncle Howdy, made an unexpected appearance on RAW. The group took out several WWE Superstars backstage, including Chad Gable, who appeared lying unconscious with a severe head injury.

As some fans jokingly claimed Wyatt Sicks had murdered the former RAW Tag Team Champion, WWE Superstar Karrion Kross took to Twitter to make a sarcastic comment about the subject:

"That wouldn't stop him. You haven't seen him train in the mornings," he wrote.

With Alpha Academy no longer on his side, it would be interesting to see the next step for Chad Gable and whether he would enter a storyline with Wyatt Sicks6.
