The WWE Hall of Famer is regarded as one of the best female stars of all time, and she's been champion several times in the company. When she was active as an in-ring performer, the women's division didn't have mid-card or tag team titles, but today's female stars will have the opportunity to make history.

Speaking to Scott Fishman of TV Insider, Trish Stratus stated that she's all for the women getting new mid-card titles. She believes it'll benefit a lot of them.

"I think it’s amazing. This is exactly what we wanted back in the day. We wanted the same opportunities and exposure as the men. Now this is a big step to have that level of competition. Having the titles means you’re going to have matches for those titles. There is room for multiple feuds over the titles and influx of characters. It creates opportunities for more characters on the show, who happen to be female," said Stratus. [H/T TV Insider]

Trish Stratus heaps praise on Nia Jax

The Irresistible Force returned to WWE several months ago, and she's had a successful run in the company so far. She's the reigning WWE Women's Champion.

When Trish Stratus was asked who she enjoys watching today, she mentioned Nia Jax.

"Nia Jax, I’m so happy she came back. She has a great presence. She has been owning it. I really enjoy watching her. I have this weird thing where I don’t think I could fully retire until I’m rag-dolled by her. Is that weird? Imagine that? Then I can retire [laughs]." [H/T TV Insider]
