WWE Monday Night RAW will make its Netflix debut on January 6, 2025, live from Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. In anticipation of this landmark event, former WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler (Nic Nemeth) heavily praised two superstars from the red brand.
On the December 30, 2024, installment of RAW, CM Punk and Seth Rollins engaged in a heated promo battle to close the show. Both superstars unleashed a barrage of verbal jabs, aiming to gain a psychological advantage before their highly anticipated one-on-one showdown on the red brand's Netflix premiere.
Speaking on a recent episode of Busted Open, Dolph Ziggler highlighted the importance of The Second City Saint and The Visionary to WWE's Netflix deal. The reigning TNA World Champion pointed out that Punk and Rollins' go-home segment relied solely on their verbal skills to excite fans, aiming to drive viewership for RAW's debut on the streaming giant.
"Think of how important you are to a show when they make the two [CM Punk and Seth Rollins] of you the go-home piece. There's no physicality, there's no blood and guts, there's no pyro. It's on you and your words to talk everybody into the building of Netflix," Nemeth said. [H/T: Wrestling Inc.]

The Showoff further recalled the uncertainty surrounding Seth Rollins' push during Vince McMahon's tenure as WWE Chairman. Ziggler noted that there were frequent changes in creative direction, leaving the audience and the talents unsure about the former World Heavyweight Champion's role.
During the same chat on Busted Open, Nic Nemeth said The Revolutionary should secure a clean win in his match against CM Punk. The former WWE star discouraged any unusual or inconclusive finish.
"With the old boss [Vince McMahon], it seemed like we were about to go with Seth. And then that Monday, or that Sunday for the pay-per-view, it would just not be the same. It was, 'Is this the guy?' And the crowd wasn't sure because it seemed like Vince [McMahon] wasn't sure," Nemeth said. "Don't give us some weird finish or a non-finish. A definitive Seth win is the way I would go." It will be interesting to see who emerges victorious between The Voice of the Voiceless and The Visionary on the first episode of RAW on Netflix.
