Two WWE stars have just defeated The Bloodline on SmackDown. They have now broken their silence after such a huge win so soon after their debut in the Stamford-based promotion.
The Motor City Machine Guns is one of the best tag teams in the world. They have competed all around the world and won championships everywhere they went. After several years, MCMG made their debut on SmackDown last week. Not only that but they ended up winning the WWE Tag Team Championships tonight on the blue brand after they defeated The Bloodline.
Following SmackDown, Byron Saxton caught up with the new tag team champions on SmackDown Low Down. Chris Sabin said that he was still speechless about their win and was letting it sink in.
"I think it's still sinking in. I'm almost kind of speechless, I don't know what to say. It's kind of unheard of to be on the fast-track to success like this in WWE, but this is exactly what we came here to do. We came here to prove that we're one of the greatest tag teams of all time. And there's only one place you can do that, and that's right here in WWE."
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Alex Shelley seemed determined as well as he said he wanted to prove to the fans why they are the greatest tag team of all time.
"Quite frankly, it doesn't matter what we did last week, it doesn't matter what we did an hour ago. What matters right now is that we're champions and we have to hold onto these. The hard work's just beginning, but you ain't seen nothing yet. We're the greatest of all time for a reason - we're gonna prove it to the WWE Universe."
Motor City Machine Guns participated in a tournament on SmackDown to become Number One Contender for the WWE Tag Team Championship
The Motor City Machine Guns weren't just handed a title opportunity upon their arrival in the Stamford-based promotion. They had to earn it by participating in a tournament. Last week on SmackDown, they competed in a Triple-Threat tag team qualifying match against A-Town Down Under and Los Garza and came out on top.
Tonight on the blue brand, they defeated DIY to become the Number One Contenders for the tag gold. Immediately after the match, they were confronted by The Bloodline, who challenged them to a title match tonight itself.
Solo Sikoa thought his men had the upper hand but Jimmy Uso, Roman Reigns, and Jey Uso had other ideas as they attacked The Bloodline, helping Motor City Machine Guns pick up the titles.
It will be interesting to see who is next in line to challenge Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley for the tag titles.
