Michael Cole was visibly emotional as he bid farewell on tonight's episode of SmackDown. The commentator announced it was over and had only good things to say.

Tonight was the last-ever SmackDown on FOX episode. The deal between WWE and FOX ended tonight, concluding their partnership since 2019. According to the new agreement, the blue-branded show will be broadcast on USA Network going forward.

Michael Cole and Corey Graves addressed their long time on the network. For Cole, calling the action on network television was a dream come true. He went on to talk about all the monumental moments from the last five years.

Michael Cole added that they had record ratings for both FOX and SmackDown in the past. He thanked the network's men and women and finished by bidding an emotional farewell.

"We had record ratings for both SmackDown and FOX on Friday nights. We want to say a sincere thank you to all the men and women in front of the camera and behind the scenes at FOX for making the last five years a wonderful part of WWE. Thank you. Until we meet again," he said.

Next week, we will see the return of the blue brand to the USA Network.
