WWE Saturday Night's Main Event was quite a successful show. However, a veteran felt there was one aspect of it that was seemingly underwhelming. The name being discussed is Bill Apter.

Saturday Night's Main Event featured many entertaining bouts, including Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE Title. Apart from a stellar match card, the show also featured some returning legends like Jesse Ventura, Tito Santana, and others. However, most of them had practically no significant role to play.

On Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine, hosted by Mac Davis, Bill Apter talked about how he would have liked to see the legends in attendance do something other than just waving from the audience. He said:

"They did try and dress it up a bit. They did say that they were going to have several legends which they did, but the legends didn't do anything but wave to the camera. (...) It was great to see them on there, but I would have loved to have seen a maybe a three or four-minute segment where they just brought them into the ring to wave, and maybe an interaction with somebody." Bill Apter thinks the WWE show had too many commercials

While the matches at Saturday Night's Main Event were entertaining for Bill Apter, the amount of commercials was too much of a distraction.

On the same episode of Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine, Bill Apter said he was annoyed by how much the WWE matches were obscured by advertisements and commercials.

"Couple of things that bothered me. The main one which I kept pinging you on Facebook Messenger was the commercials. They have to have them, they were driving me crazy. There are too many commercials. In the main event with Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens, there was a Target commercial that was about four minutes into the match, when the match was just getting hot (...) It was really annoying to me." [2:37 onwards]

For now, it remains to be seen what WWE has planned for its next major show, RAW's premiere episode on Netflix.
